Thurs. 11/06/25 @3PM 1st time guests at Two Fools Tavern (3211 Central Ave. NE, Albuquerque NM). Recommended by friends. Party of 2 ppl. Greeted warmly upon entrance & seated right away! Very pleasant and relaxing interior decor. Quickly reminded me of my visit to Dublin (Ireland) some 20 years ago! Ordered the much-talked-about Cottage Pie and, also, the Two Fools Fish & Chips. Our Server, "Hailey", recommended them BOTH and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Very enjoyable visit. Used curbside metered (City) parking near the entrance to Two Fools Tavern. Our visit took less than one (1) hour. Plan to make a return visit..next time, with friends. Five Stars! ⭐⭐⭐
Always a good vibe here at Two Fools Tavern. Love how dimly lit the bar is and reminds me of the pubs back in Europe. I ordered the Tuesday special which is the Baja Fish Tacos. They were pretty good! Different from other fish tacos I’ve tried. I like how they were like fish nuggets. 10/10 would order them again. I’d also recommend others to come by and check out Two Fools Tavern.
We had dinner here and totally enjoyed it. Great service and atmosphere, and so was the food. Big portions, we couldn’t finish and took some home.
We went to lunch today and we finally tried two Fool's Tavern. Boy, where we happy and pleased. The service was amazing. They are so friendly there. We love the atmosphere. They literally have the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. I've never tasted coleslaw like theirs. It is the best coleslaw I've ever tasted. My daughter had the pot pie. It was delicious along with the pastry that tops it. My son got the Irish stew. It was very rich. It wasn't the best food item on the menu. I love bathrooms at restaurants. I always have to go see the bathroom. Their bathroom is so cute and adorable and very clean.
We went here because the name sounded like the perfect fit for us — and it totally was! The food was fantastic. I tried the Scotch eggs, which were excellent and paired perfectly with the tangy ground mustard. The small order of fish and chips was spot on — crispy on the outside, tender and moist inside. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Great food, great vibe, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!
It was my first time here and this place is a great vibe. Awesome atmosphere and great food to back it up. Went with the 2 piece fish and chips and it definitely delivered when it comes to portion size. The breading was the crispiest breading that I've experienced when it comes to fish. Usually it gets really soggy, but not this time. I also really enjoyed the apple coleslaw. They didn't skimp on the apples! Will be coming back
If you find yourself caught in a thunderstorm, this is exactly the kind of place you’d want to take shelter in warm, welcoming, and with a team of genuinely attentive staff. I followed the server’s recommendations and began with the cottage pie. Generously portioned, it leans into a darker, more bitter gravy profile rather than a rich, savory one perhaps best enjoyed when shared. But the true standout was the fish and chips: executed to near perfection, crisp on the outside, flaky within, and seasoned just right. A classic done exceptionally well. I’ll be returning for that alone.
Travel to a traditional Irish pub without leaving the city! A popular spot for a reason… Rustic charm, beautiful bar, friendly servers, convivial vibe and consistently good food! The fish and chips are legit! Perfectly puffed, crispy exterior with a delicious, light and flaky interior that is not “fishy.” Every review photo and plate out of the kitchen looks excellent. The Blarney & blue burger was good and the Scotch eggs are a delight. The Guinness beef stew was tasty yet on the salty side during our visit. The Jester’s pot pie looks scrumptious for another visit while the entire menu beckons… enjoy!
